Strange Voices

John 10:4-5 ESV

4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.

5 A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.”

Different murmuring and shouting voices are all around us vying for our attention, serving as distraction from the one true voice of He that is truth. 

After the sheep are set free, the Shepherd goes before them. They follow His voice, give heed to His words. The more one listens to the Shepherds voice, the more obvious strange voices become. If you're not hearing any strange voices, you might not be hearing His voice too clearly either.
