24 He drove man out and stationed the cherubim and the flaming, whirling sword east of the garden of Eden to guard the way to the tree of life.
It is from the East He will return. Jesus died for us on the mercy seat that is between the cherubim on the ark in heaven. He has opened the door back to the Garden, the way to the tree of life. The flaming sword of the cherubim has been replaced by the sword of His mouth, His words.
