3 The doorkeeper opens it for him, and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
Revelation 2:17
17 “Anyone who has an ear should listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. I will give the victor some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name is inscribed that no one knows except the one who receives it.
Our Lord knows us as the unique expressions of life that we are. By name we are called. In His name we answer. Jacob received a new name after wrestling with the angel. Jesus tells us that if we overcome the world, we will have our new name written on our stone of the new temple, of which He is the cornerstone.
He leads us into new pasture that is the kingdom of heaven.
