John 11:38 ESV
38 Then Jesus, deeply moved again, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it.
Jesus had just wept for His friend that He loved. He stood before the tomb before He had the stone moved aside.
In the same way He stood before Jerusalem and wept. It had become a tomb for its people, as dark as any cave, as they turned from God.
He became the stone of stumbling and the cornerstone of the new temple. He would move the stone of His own tomb and call for all of us to join Him.
