Mark 6:51-52 ESV
51 And he got into the boat with them, and the wind ceased. And they were utterly astounded, 52 for they did not understand about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.
Like Pharaoh's long ago, their hearts could not perceive, understand and accept what they saw and heard. God did not hardened their hearts. This is how He found them. The giving of the Holy Spirit would allow the hardness of heart to give way, allowing the word of God to be written on their hearts and in their minds.
The bread of Christ given is fresh, soft, full of the mercy of love every day. It does not grow stale, nor hardens, but is renewed with each rising of the morning sun.
