Esther 5:2 ESV
2 And when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, she won favor in his sight, and he held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther approached and touched the tip of the scepter.
Ester is spared from death for she found favor in the eyes of the king. He extended his scepter and she came into His presence.
Christ has assumed David's scepter. He extends it to all who come to Him accepting the rule of His kingdom.
