He Ran And Fell Down

Mark 5:6-7 ESV
6 And when he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and fell down before him. 7 And crying out with a loud voice, he said, “What have you to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I adjure you by God, do not torment me.”

The man did not see him and run toward Jesus, but it was the demon inside.
Contrast this with the prodigal son. He came to his senses. It was the father who saw him from far off and ran.

Here the man falls down before him, not in a posture of worship, but submission. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess.
