Parable Of Life

Mark 4:2 ESV
2 And he was teaching them many things in parables, and in his teaching he said to them.

The Greek word for teach evolved into the word didactic in English.
It might be said life is a parable. Jesus used parables to teach spiritual truths, using common and known things to speak of the things of God, things that are beyond the common, using the natural to portray the supernatural. Elsewhere we are told the heavens and earth declare his glory and attributes. In Romans, Paul says that man is without excuse because what could be known about God is there before us in creation.
Teaching implies learning. We are here for the learning. Life is for the teaching. Jesus learned obedience to the word even as He is the word. He is looking for that in us.

διδάσκω * didaskō * did-as'-ko * A prolonged (causative) form of a primary verb δάω daō (to learn); to teach (in the same broad application): - teach.
