To Betray Him

Matthew 26:14-16 ESV
14 Then one of the twelve, whose name was Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests 15 and said, “What will you give me if I deliver him over to you?” And they paid him thirty pieces of silver. 16 And from that moment he sought an opportunity to betray him.

Jesus later thanked His Father for those the Father had given Him, saying He had not lost one.
Judas was one of the twelve. He had the opportunity to be with Jesus, but in the end rejected the Son of Man. Jesus knew from the beginning who would accept Him. He chose Judas anyway. Some would say that Judas didn't have a chance, he was destined for the betrayal. I'm not so sure of that, but God knows.
John tells us Jesus died for all the world, even as He knew a large part of that world would reject Him.
God's love is stronger than those who reject Him and stronger than the death that tried to claim Him. It is His love thato makes it possible for us to come, only leaving His loving hand if we choose.
