Matthew 5:20 ESV
For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
Being religious will never get you to heaven. The Pharisees were extremely religious, but their religion was based on their own efforts. They stood at the door of heaven, but couldn't see it for their own belief.
The righteousness of God is found in God. Do not let religion blind you to that truth. It's between you and Yeshua, the Son. Make Him your righteousness.
