As Sons - Galations 4:4-7

Galatians 4:4-7 ESV
But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.

God's plan for man is based on time from the beginning. The Lord is on either end of the tunnel of time, the beginning and end, and present in each moment in between.

At a particular and pre-determined time, God sent His Son. The need for and the giving of the law was part of the purpose of the Lord, which is the adoption of sons. His Son would provide many sons.

We see that the Holy Spirit and the Son are one. Jesus had to depart before He could send the Spirit back into our hearts. We are given the Holy Spirit and Jesus enters our hearts to abide there. Doing so, we have the Father.

Only Jesus can call God "Father". Having Jesus in our hearts allows to make the same claim as adopted sons. We have a claim and right as heirs of the living God that is unique and irrevocably ours. We have been given the seed of the divine, which is eternal and without blemish.
