Fulfilled In One Word - Galations 5:13-14

Galatians 5:13-14 ESV 

For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Our call to freedom is not for the flesh, but from it. Our life transforms. We are no longer confined to life bound by flesh, but are given the opportunity to experience the life of the divine. 

The reason God reaches out to us is love, so loving the world He gave His only Son. This is the life of the divine. It is love. Jesus fulfilled the law by being the perfect essence of love. He is the exact image of God. Jesus is the word of God and that word is love. 

Now we who have received the love of the Lord are to become part of that great love as we enter the very body of Christ. We replicate the work begun in Jesus. We fulfill the word of God and the word is in us.
