2 Peter 1:3-4 ESV
His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.
He lends us His power to participate in the divine nature, to rise above and overcome the world. He has bestowed on us "all things that pertain to life and godliness". Nothing is held back.
How can we comprehend the enormity of this gift from our Father? This is not something He will do, but has done. He is forming us into the very image of the Son through His word and that spoken word will be fulfilled. He spoke the end from the beginning.
