Psalms 46:10 ESV
“Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”
The noise and upheaval of our world is the antithesis of knowing God. The voice of God does not lie in fierce winds or mighty earthquakes, but in a still, small voice within. It is not found in the raging sea, but in the still water along side the pasture of God.
Though being still is hard to do in the currents and movement of the sea of humanity, it is in being still that we open the door of our lives to God and become able to witness His majesty and glory. Then we will know.
