Revelation 2:7 ESV
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God. ’
From the letter of Ephesus, we see Jesus beginning the letter and the Spirit having the last word. The other letters in Revelation have the same seamless pattern. Jesus speaks to a particular church and the Spirit speaks to the churches. The Spirit might be in view when Jesus refers to the angels of the churches. It is the Spirit that guides us into all truth and reveals the word of God.
