Luke 15:11-12 NASB
The Prodigal Son
And He said, “A man had two sons. The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the estate that falls to me. ’ So he divided his wealth between them.
The word translated here as "wealth" comes from the Greek word: βίος * bios * bee'-os * A primary word; life, that is, (literally) the present state of existence; by implication the means of livelihood: - good, life, living
The share of our Father's wealth that falls to us is our flesh. He longs for man to return to Him to claim his inheritance as a son of God. He lets us go, but will run to meet us when we return.
We come to our senses when we give ear to the calling of the Father. He comes near when we turn to Him.
We will be clothed in the finest robe of light and receive His name as ours.
