1 Peter 1:14-16 ESV
As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance, but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
We are to be holy because He is holy. We are holy because He is holy.
It is the presence of the Lord that makes the ground or place holy. We are holy if the Spirit abides in us because He is present.
We act holy the more we grow like Jesus. The more He is received in our lives, the more we reflect His light in our lives. We are holy in the meantime because He is perfectly holy.
To have Jesus is to be holy. We should then make every effort to be holy and wholly that way.
