Luke 4:18-19 ESV
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives
and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty those who are oppressed,
to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.”
We share with Christ in the anointing of the Holy Spirit. That is why we are called the body of Christ, for if we have the Spirit, then we have Christ. We have become the incarnation of the light of God, children of the Father of lights.
We can now proclaim the good news in word and deed, by living the life given to all who trust in Christ.
