Taken Away - John 20:1

John 20:1 ESV

Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.

Revelation 18:21

Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying,

“So will Babylon the great city be thrown down with violence,

and will be found no more;

Babylon represents the world apart from God, that deceives unto death. In effect, the earth has become a tomb. Jesus came to roll the stone away from that tomb and to call us out into the light.

The millstone of sin and death will be thrown down and be found no more.

The stone of our captivity has been rolled away. We only have to come out and stand on the rock which is the mountain of the Lord.
