Peter and John Before the Council
And as they were speaking to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came upon them, greatly annoyed because they were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
The world is greatly annoyed with the proclamation of Christ. The spirit of the world reflects the ruler of this world who is dead in his sin.
Everyone resurrected from the dead is lost by Satan to the salvation of Christ. To say he is annoyed is a vast understatement. There is murder in his heart. He will gladly share his heart with all who listen.
