Working Until Now - John 5:15-17

John 5:15-17 ESV
The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had healed him. And this was why the Jews were persecuting Jesus, because he was doing these things on the Sabbath. But Jesus answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I am working.”

Jesus tells us here that God is working now. He is doing a new thing. Creation will find its rest when all things are made new.

Again we are reminded that the Father and Son are one. They or He is working.
They are working to complete the good work begun in each one of us. We are a new creation.

I AM!

God made Sabbath for man. God is working that we might find rest. It is resting in Him we find true Sabbath.

The seven days of creation in Genesis foreshadow and provide context for the reoccurring seven pattern used in Revelation. We see the authorship and design of the Holy Spirit.

Genesis 2:2-3
And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation.
