1 Samuel 17:28 (NASB)
28Now Eliab his oldest brother heard when he spoke to the men; and (A)Eliab's anger burned against David and he said, "Why have you come down? And with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your insolence and the wickedness of your heart; for you have come down in order to see the battle."
Eliab said he knew David’s heart. He didn’t. God appears to have a different view of that same heart. The difference is between one who thinks he knows, and the One Who knows.
Only God sees and knows what is in a man’s heart. That could be viewed as good and bad news. The bad news for some is that no pretense will fool God. We may fool others, but not Him. The good news is that He loves enough to not let what He sees stand in His way. Don’t let anything stand in your way.
