Taught By God - 1 Thessalonians 4:7-9

1 Thessalonians 4:7-9 ESV 

For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness. Therefore whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.

Now concerning brotherly love you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another,

How does God make an impure people holy? By giving them His Holy Spirit, just as He gave us His only Son. 

God taught us in the form of a man, that being the man Jesus. Once the seed of the word died and fell to the earth, the seed began to grow and multiply and fill the earth. The seed enters the earth of man through the giving of the Holy Spirit. The teaching begun by Jesus continues with the Holy Spirit given to every heart who answers His call. 

We have received the love of God and that love teaches us how to respond to Him and each other. Forget what you knew and live in what you know. This is true and holy love, and all this is made possible by the Holy Spirit.
