Mark 11:17 ESV
And he was teaching them and saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a den of robbers.”
Prayer is part of the house of the Lord. It is the vehicle that brings us into a conscious awareness of the presence of the Lord. It plays the part of the mortar which binds us as the temple of the Lord, the body of Christ.
Through prayer we enjoin the Holy Spirit in silent or vocal praise and appeal to our Lord and Savior. It is the gateway for all people to pass into the Holy of Holies where the Most Holy God abides.
