1 Corinthians 8:1-3 ESV
Now concerning food offered to idols: we know that “all of us possess knowledge.” This “knowledge” puffs up, but love builds up. If anyone imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know. But if anyone loves God, he is known by God.
True knowing means loving God. Being known by God means we have come into His presence, which is the fountain of all wisdom and knowledge. We are sealed with His Spirit which gives us access to the mind of Christ.
The knowledge of man is full of the air of the world, while love is the most solid thing around.
