Adam was the first son of God as shown in the genealogy of Jesus in the gospel of Matthew. He gave up his birthright as the first son and fell from the grace of God.
Jesus was the second Son of God who came as the Son of Man. He came as the Son of Man because a kinsman was needed to redeem mankind from the fall. He fulfilled that role and paid the price for our redemption.
Now we can follow Him as sons of man and be transformed into sons of God by rising to His call for us to return to Him.
