Revelation 1:1 ESV
The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,
Who is the angel sent to John? This verse tells us it is Jesus Christ. God gives Jesus the revelation to show John. Jesus delivers the message as the "angel of the Lord" who is referenced many times in the Old Testament.
This might also be seen as the angel that delivers the letters to the seven churches. It is Jesus that speaks in the letters. He stands among the lamp stands in front of the throne, which represent the seven churches.
