Matthew 13:23 ESV
As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.”
We are from the dust of the earth and so this parable which compares us to soil is appropriate. The word compared to a seed can remind us of the seed of Abraham, which is Christ the word of God. If the word takes root in our soil, we will yield the fruit of the Spirit. That fruit bears the image of God, according to God's grace and the nature of the soil of our earth.
It is a heart yielded to God that lives up to His purpose and has found the way.
