Your Salvation - Luke 2:27-32

Luke 2:27-32 ESV

And he came in the Spirit into the temple, and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the Law,
he took him up in his arms and blessed God and said,

“Lord, now you are letting your servant depart in peace,
according to your word;

for my eyes have seen your salvation

that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples,

a light for revelation to the Gentiles,
and for glory to your people Israel

Simeon beheld Jesus and recognized the Son of God because the Holy Spirit was with him. The word God had given him came true and brought peace to this man who had waited a long time. God has given His word to us and it will come to pass. He has prepared a table for us in the midst of our enemies. Peace beyond understanding is already with us for the Holy Spirit is with us. He comforts and guides us into all truth. He is the light of heaven that shines within the breast of each child of God.

Israel has not been forgotten or left behind. The time of Jacob's trouble is still to come, but so is the glory of His people Israel.
