Ephesians 6:10-13 ESV
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
The whole armor of God is for spiritual warfare. Spiritual warfare only begins for the believer after rising from the grave of the world. We are warned to make the best use of our time because the days are evil. To withstand this evil, God provides protection.
The prince of this world goes to and fro to devour man and oppose God. Satan is thrown from heaven and is the prince of the air. He rules the spiritual forces of evil fallen with him. It is here we make our stand.
