Was Upon Him - Luke 2:25-26

Luke 2:25-26 ESV

Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.
And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

The Holy Spirit is upon Simeon, but the Spirit has been given to believers. Those in the kingdom of heaven have been sealed by the Holy Spirit and participate in the life of God. The least in the kingdom is greater than the most righteous man outside the kingdom, outside the body of Christ. The Holy Spirit no longer hovers over the waters of the deep, but has descended into each believer.

We will all see death, but because we have seen Jesus we will live.

The Spirit reveals the truth for He is the truth.
