For Joy - John 16:21

John 16:21 ESV

When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.

The earth is in travail as it gives birth to a new earth. The hour is at hand and the days filled with sorrow.

But this is true of each person as well, for we are an earth and world in of ourselves. We are formless and void until the light comes to shine within us and we are reborn. We then become a human being in the truest sense, in the image of God. This happens inside of us and a new creature begins to take shape. In His light we become visible, no longer formless and void, but children of light. That is reason for joy.
