Ephesians 2:1-2 ESV
And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.
Which air do you breathe for life? The air of this world will keep one alive for a short time. This is life support, but not life. It will work until the plug is pulled. There is a last breath of this air.
The air of the Spirit, the breath of God's life, will never cease. When the plug is pulled on this mortal life, we continue breathe that eternal air of life freed at last from that body of sin. We can expand into who we are as sons of God.
