Philippians 1:9-11 ESV
And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
Paul's prayer seeks continual spiritual growth for these new Christians to the glory and praise of God. It is not a matter of getting your ticket punched for entry into heaven. It's about living the life of God which transforms us into the image of God.
Love will abound if it is received and lived. The source is measureless and eternal: God Himself.
