Matthew 13:44
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.
The kingdom of heaven has been established but is yet hidden until it is revealed to the world in the fullness of time, though it is seen and experienced by those who believe.
We are hidden in Christ. What we are is unknown by the world, for the world does not know Christ or God. It is unable to see Christ in us. When God looks at us, our worldliness is covered by the righteousness of His Son. Our sins are remembered no more.
This man trades all he has for a treasure beyond his imagination or capability to amass. It is a treasure hidden, yet more real than anything else.
