Garments - Genesis 3:20-21

Genesis 3:20-21 ESV
The man called his wife's name Eve, because she was the mother of all living. And the Lord God made for Adam and for his wife garments of skins and clothed them.

Though they were naked, they were unashamed. They had not chosen their wardrobe for life. They chose animal skins of spiritual darkness thinking they would be like God. Instead, they were turned out into the wilderness, expelled from the Garden to graze in a broken world.

Eve is the mother of the living, that is, of flesh. The same has any beast of the earth. This is the garment of skin which we share and share with the beasts of the field.

We will trade these garments for the robe of righteousness. We will be transformed into robes of light, transfigured on the mountain of God.
