Ephesians 1:4-5 ESV
even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,
His purpose, His will, from the beginning was creation of sons of God through Jesus Christ. He is the firm foundation that is the foundation of the world, as all things are created through Him and for Him. The crown of that creation are those who have accepted this gift of life. It is love working through faith.
Notice we who are in Christ are holy and blameless. This is possible only through the love of our God. We are holy and blameless because He is holy and blameless.
