Amos 3:7-8 ESV
7 “For the Lord God does nothing
without revealing his secret
to his servants the prophets.
8 The lion has roared;
who will not fear?
The Lord God has spoken;
who can but prophesy? ”
God told Abraham what He was about to do to Sodom. Abraham pleaded for the good men whom might be found in that city, that they would be spared. When it came to pass, he saw smoke in the distance. God tells us what is coming. Let's not be found in the city.
