What Do We Do Now?

Acts 2:36 (MSG)
36 "All Israel, then, know this: There's no longer room for doubt—God made him Master and Messiah, this Jesus whom you killed on a cross."

Acts 2:37 (MSG)
37 Cut to the quick, those who were there listening asked Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers! Brothers! So now what do we do?"

Acts 2:38 (MSG)
38 Peter said, "Change your life. Turn to God and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, so your sins are forgiven. Receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

In verse 37 the original Greek begins with “they were pierced to the heart”. Peter’s message to those listening got through. They understood without a doubt that Peter was telling the truth. The enormity of what they had done hit them full force leaving no room for excuse or defense. Their guilt was exposed.

In their anguish they ask Peter “what do we do?” Peter answers: “Change Your Life”.

Let this be a day of change for us
May we be open to the Spirit.
