Beyond Us, Yet Near

He cannot be contained in a thought or in all of our thoughts. Nor will He be exhausted in all thoughts that have been or ever will be, but He is near.

Our God is so beyond our conception that our ideas of Him are just that: ideas. He reveals Himself to us but we are limited in what we can see and understand. If all mankind stood still and thought only of God, He would still be more than we could imagine.

But that is not a reason for discouragement but joy because we serve the One alone Who is worthy, to whom all things belong. He is the One Who loves us, Who calls us, and is with us.

He is near.
