Matthew 18:20 (NKJV)
20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."
Jesus is in no way saying that He is not with us when we are alone. This verse confirms the reality of the body of Christ. This is the definition of the church. When we gather together and he is the reason, He will be there. He is the unifying Spirit of peace and love. When we call upon His name, He will listen for He is with us.
