The Former Things - Isaiah 65:17-18

Isaiah 65:17-18 ESV 

“For behold, I create new heavens

and a new earth,

and the former things shall not be remembered

or come into mind.

But be glad and rejoice forever

in that which I create;

for behold, I create Jerusalem to be a joy,

and her people to be a gladness.

This Jerusalem is the Bride of Christ that descends from heaven. We are born from above. We will be the joy and gladness which come from the life of Christ. Our old existence will fade as the darkness of night gives way to the break of day that shall never end. 

Our former lives will be remembered no more or come to mind. The sun will never set on that new day.
