Our Heavenly Dwelling - 2 Corinthians 5:1-3

2 Corinthians 5:1-3 ESV
For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling, if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked.

Just as the Lord clothed Adam and Eve with animal skins when they left the Garden, we will be clothed by God's hand in eternal bodies. Animal skins of this tent will be replaced the white stones of a new dwelling place. Our present tabernacles will be set aside as we become part of the temple of God, the heavenly Jerusalem.

Now we are covered by the blood of Christ. Then we will take on the rock of Christ, for we will be like Him, leaving the blood behind. Life is no longer in the blood, but in the life of the Lord.
