Genesis 15:1 ESV
After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.”
The Son of God appears throughout the Bible. Who is the word of the Lord but the Son through whom creation appeared? He says to Abram "Fear not", and the same word is active and present today for us.
The Lord of everything is our shield and reward. If He is for us, who can stand against us?
