His Righteousness - Isaiah 51:7-8

Isaiah 51:7-8 ESV 

“Listen to me, you who know righteousness,

the people in whose heart is my law;

fear not the reproach of man,

nor be dismayed at their revilings.

For the moth will eat them up like a garment,

and the worm will eat them like wool;

but my righteousness will be forever,

and my salvation to all generations.”

The people in whose heart the law is written are those who have Christ in their hearts, for He is the fulfillment of the law and the final word of God. The law does not go away, but is given flesh and bones in the man Jesus and the body Christ. 

God is true and a man is His word. They are one. Their righteousness and salvation will endure forever.
