1 John 4:4-6 ESV
Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
We who believe God have overcome the world. We have risen with the Lord from the earth of a natural man into the kingdom of heaven, the realm and house of God.
What one is able to hear depends on where one is, what is close to that person. We can hear God only if He is with us. Having the Spirit is having God. This doesn't mean we always listen, but it does mean we can. By this we can know.
The Spirit is moving and you can't tell where it comes and goes. Unless you're listening.
