The Spirit - 2 Corinthians 3:16-18

2 Corinthians 3:16-18 ESV

But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed.
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

The truth of God has been brought to us by two witnesses of God. Through the man Jesus and the Holy Spirit after Jesus ascended into heaven, we have the word of God delivered to us and in us, an ever flowing fountain of living water.

The Spirit descended on Christ and remained. The body of Christ is still in the world and the Holy Spirit remains in that body, the believers united in the unity of that Spirit.

We, like Christ, have become sons of God because we have we have become like Jesus, Who is Lord, Who is Spirit, because They/He are within us. The Lord had to leave the earth before the Spirit could come because He is the Spirit.

We are being transformed into the perfect image of His Son Jesus Christ. We have have been given the perfection of Christ and now grow into that perfection. It is like we've received a garment of purity that is sized for one who has reached the full maturity of Christ. We as children of the light will grow in that light until that robe fits perfectly. He who has begun this thing will finish it.

The currency of the kingdom of God is Spirit, sent from heaven and He remains in each believer.

Romans 8:26-28

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
