The Rush Of Great Waters - Psalms 32:6-7

Psalms 32:6-7 ESV

Therefore let everyone who is godly
offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found;
surely in the rush of great waters,
they shall not reach him.

You are a hiding place for me;
you preserve me from trouble;
you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah

The rush of great waters might signify the people of the world, the darkness in the deep waters at the beginning of creation. In Revelation a flood issues forth from the mouth of Satan to overcome the children of Israel, but the dark waters do not overcome the chosen people.

The earth comes to their rescue.

The dark waters that surround us today will be turned back and defeated by the same powerful and Almighty God. The Lord protects the godly, and the rising waters shall not reach them. He separates the earth from the waters. He shall preserve those who love Him and deliver all who trust in Him. Eventually those waters will dry up on the earth and be no more.
