Exodus 3:14 ESV
14 God said to Moses, I am who I am. And he said, Say this to the people of Israel,I am has sent me to you.
It may apparently be translated equally correctly:
I am what I am
I will be who I am
He who was, is, and is to come has always been.
The phrase "I am" is given new meaning to the believer who partipates in the life of the one Who is everlasting. We enter into His house, salvation, and love. Because of Who He is; we are.
