Every Person

Romans 13:1 ESV
1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.

The word translated here as "person" is translated as "soul" in the KJV. The Greek word "psuche" implies the body. A different word is used to refer to a man's spirit, heart, and mind: pnuema.

Let us be reminded while we still walk in creation, wrapped in these mortal bodies, we are also something else. We are in the image of God. Though we are a poor representation, there was One Who was the exact image of God His Father. He gives us the Holy Spirit to clear things up.
